Requirement:

1. PS Jailbreak USB Key
2. A FAT32 formatted USB Drive with the Backup Manager on it
3. PS3 with Firmware 3.41 or below

Installation:

1. Plug the PS Jailbreak USB to the PS3. If it’s the first jailbreak, Manager.PKG should be installed at first. In this case, don’t plug the USB to install until the PS3 console boot up completely.

2. Switch off PS3 console, and then press the power and eject button. Two LED lights in PS Jailbreak will be illuminated. The whole process will be within 10 seconds. Notice how the LED is lit up in PS3. The green LED the PS Jailbreak is running correctly; while the red means that PS Jailbreak isn’t accurately running. If it is the red light on, turn power off, remove power line and repeat the whole process, and do remember that switch on the PS3 console by connecting the power first and then press the Eject button.

3. After the PS Jailbreak is correctly loaded, the USB can be plugged in via which the Backup Manager can be read.

4. Find the option of “Install Package Files” in the “Game Menu”, and then choose “manager.pkg”. Run the Backup Manager 2.0 version, and copy the Backup Manager.pgk in the USB root directory.

5. When the “Backup Manager” application appears in the Game menu, it means that the installation is complete. Thereafter, select it and play.

6. In this Backup Manager program, you can backup whichever game you want. Press O to backup game, you can choose to backup on whether the external USB device or PS3 internal hard drive.

7. Put any original PS3 game DVD in the Optical drive as a bootable disk. After reading, you can find the game you have backup in the Backup Manager. By now, you can find both the backup game or the one is read in the optical drive in the interface, choose anyone at will.

8. Choose the backup game, press X to return home interface. And then the backup game can play now.

It is worth noting that once you install the Backup Manager application, you can not delete it. After many tests, it turns out that black screen may happen in the PS3 consoles with the Firmware under 3.41 by running this application, but no problem in the ones with Firmware 3.41. Besides, the game in the hard drive can’t get update while the same one can get update in the optical drive; the game run in the hard drive can’t skip the game interlude; although the Backup Manager is installed in the PS3 console, you have to plug the PS Jailbreak once you want to run this application. Only when the PS Jailbreak runs correctly, the Backup Manager can be started.
