APPLE’S MOST talked about technology Apple iPad went on sale after months of anticipation. The iPad 3G released on April 3, 2010, sold about 700000 units in just a single day. It is expected that Apple to sell 7 million iPads during the remaining nine months of this year and about 14.4 million next calendar year.
According to the Piper Jaffray analyst issued a report stated that he believed some 60-700 thousand iPads sold on the first day of release. This number includes the pre-orders. The analyst also noted that there were longer than expected lines at five Apple stores surveyed, including the iconic 5th Avenue store in New York City, where 730 people were in line at 9 a.m. Apple’s iPad pre-order starts on March 12 and it limited the number of purchases to two per person, and also turned down volume orders for businesses.
Expert’s iSuppli predicts that Apple iPad will grow popularity in 2011, when the benefit of this process may play a change in price and functionality of the device. It is predicted that, the supply of iPad next year could grow more than doubled to 14.4 million, and in 2012 it reached about the 20 million customers.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs joined in the iPad craziness at the University Avenue store in Palo Alto, CA on Saturday afternoon, and spent about 30 minutes talking with customers in the location. The Apple iPad can easily be called the all-in-one device, attempt to revolutionize the way use Internet, computer games and electronic books.The Apple iPad 3G had an extra feature that is not included in the Standard iPad. Moving to third party apps, several look great on the Apple iPad, like Safari, Mail and Photos. The rest however look like dwarfed copies on the Apple iPad screen. The iPad 3G user can take on the date speed of 7.2 MBPS on a 3G network. The 9.5 inch x 7.5 inch iPad is half an inch thick, weighing just 680 grams and has the features including reading books, watching video and surfing the Web, etc.
