Once again, Nationwide Insurance proves that it’s On Your Side® when a mishap occurs – this time whether you’re a customer or not.
Touted as the first-ever claims application for a mobile device from an insurance company, Nationwide Mobile is designed to support any Apple iPhone user after they are involved in a car accident.
Available free via an Apple App Store download, this new iPhone app is packed with a variety of features that quickly guide users through some of the important steps to take after an accident. With the touch of a few buttons, users can contact emergency services, exchange information with another driver, or take photos of the scene and any damage. Additional functions allow users to request an auto insurance quote or find a local Nationwide insurance agent, too. Enhanced capabilities, such as locating a Blue RibbonSM Repair Facility, having a tow truck dispatched and submitting information to immediately begin the claims process, are available to Nationwide customers.
Intended to enhance customer service by improving response times and providing more personalization, Nationwide Mobile proves to be a true extension of the company’s new ‘I am On Your Side®’ ad campaign and brand promise.
The app was developed through Nationwide’s partnership with Rosetta, the leading independent interactive agency in the U.S. The agency helped Nationwide conceive, create and launch the application, and purposely developed it to utilize the tools already available on the iPhone, such as the built-in GPS and camera.
”As with all of our initiatives, we wanted the Nationwide Mobile app to help simplify our customers’ lives, and the design and functionality Rosetta brought to the app are helping us do exactly that,” said Sue McManus, AVP of marketing for Nationwide. “We have plans to roll out additional features for the app in the coming months and are very excited about the direction Rosetta is providing as we evolve the app.”
Added Eric Cantini, a managing partner at Rosetta: “Because one of the most common occurrences in an accident is for those involved to have trouble remembering what steps to take or the details of the accident, we made sure the app was as simple as possible to use in what is almost always a very stressful situation. It essentially does all of the work for you.”
