As the Apple iPad Tablet runs of the iPhone OS 3.2, similar to that used in iPhone and iPod Touch, the software invented for the iPhone can also be used in the iPad. Despite the iPad software being usable, they are not performing at the satisfactory state thus many companies are dashing through the passage of time to carry out modifications and reformatting of their applications to comply with the iPad specifications.

The current iPad applications are well suited to be used for watching videos, flicking photos, surfing the web, calendar and address book as well as exchanging emails. These applications do not differ much from the iPhone’s, except that they have been reformatted for larger view on the iPad’s extended screen. The games software has been dominating the iPhone applications and as predicted, they are now being transformed for use in the iPad.

There are several examples such as the Electronic Arts Mobile intends to port five of the best-selling games into the iPod which include Need for Speed SHIFT, Tetris and Mirror’s Edge. Another major game producer, Astraware has also harbored games such as the Sudoku, Odd Blob and Solitaire into the Apple iPad. The gaming iPad software is said to enhance players’ feelings during the interactions with games. The games have become much more immersive due to the innovative touch screen feature and the bigger iPad screen.

Furthermore, the Sling Media is working on the aim to deliver the streaming television service into the Apple device. If this is made available, iPad users will enjoy watching and controlling their home television from any location around the world. As the iPad lacks power compared to the Windows PC or Mac OS X, there has been a remedy created to address the problem. The application will allow users to remotely control a computer in distance. There is also the Sugar Sync software to allow synchronization of folders and files between the iPad and Windows PC or Mac OS X. These iPad applications mentioned here, however, is only a drop among the pool of upcoming applications.
