Few weeks ago I was using total commander; I was able to access iPhone files through a USB connection. Then I have upgraded to jailbroken 3.1.2 and I have tried everything for accessing the file structure. I am unable to use WiFi at work, but I can access it at home, so I am not at the total loss. Anybody have any idea that what I am missing or what is wrong. Any related suggestion for this SSH into iPhone via USB will be appreciated.
Re: SSH into iPhone via USB
You just need to install correct DLL files for this thing to work correctly. If you want File Browsing, then iFunBox does that quick and easy. iTunnel is more useful fo SSH and VNC connections. I have used iTunes 9.X and for iPhone OS 3.X that has worked for me. I will suggest you to do the same, I tunnel DOES work, you just need the right DLL files with it. Hope this will help you to solve your problem.
Re: SSH into iPhone via USB
I was browsing through Cydia and discovered that someone has created a package to easily and the afc2 service that is missing from the blackra1n, too, which is what is causing all f the programslike iPhone Browser and the DiskAid not to identify the jailbreak. I have messed around for hours for trying for enabling the Browsesystem files easily and ended up having to go in through iFile and add the missing code myself.
Re: SSH into iPhone via USB
When you are using the built in tethering and the IP network established, and then you can access all the port through the iPhone’s IP -> 192.168.20.1 if it is connected through USB. Hence if you are running OpenSSH or AFP, then you can have the file system access through the finder, scp or the MacFuse or MacFusion. A small patching of the CommCenter is necessary, but there are also other methods for enabling the tethering again on the 3.1.2.
Re: SSH into iPhone via USB
I have finally find out how to SSH through USB on Mac and you the CyberDuck. For solving this you have to use iPhoe SSH. After that unpack to a convenient location, then open the terminal, and change the directory to python- client folder and then you can type.
Python tcprelay.py -t 22:2222 &
Then open the CyberDuck and connect to the localhos at port 2222. Then you can have SSH through USB
