Great news for Optima Systems, as the leaders in the design and manufacture of high performance Office Partitioning systems, has been shortlisted at the prestigious CMA (Construction Marketing Awards) 2010 in the category of ‘Best use of Technical Information’. This year’s nominations have provided some stiff competition, which shows that this is a tough category to be shortlisted for, and is a real testament to all the hard work that has been implemented into the innovative idea.
Optima is the UK’s leading specialist in Office Partitioning, and with some of their clients consisting of AMEX, Orange and Morgan Stanley, they decided that they needed to offer their customers something original and unique. To push their efforts they needed to appeal to their target market in a way that differentiates them from the rest of their competition. So Optima teamed up with their award winning digital agency Cyber-Duck to develop and implement the mass production and distribution of Optima branded USB dongles. The CMA 2010 shortlist is in recognition of this initiative in developing a more cost-effective way of presenting its extensive technical library to customers, including specifiers and contractors.
Each dongle contained an auto-loading Flash interface featuring a wide range of information including a directory of CAD DWG files, in depth 3D illustrations, animations of core product features, designer’s guide with technical documentation, high quality photo galleries and Optiman – the superhero game for architects.
As well as providing a convenient and efficient method of accessing information, other noticeable benefits of the branded USB dongles are their eco-friendliness, which save Optima and their clients from having to print hundreds of pages from their traditional designer guides, helping to save on all the printing and production costs, and saving the trees that would usually have to be sacrificed.
To further demonstrate the company’s commitment to the use of new technology and sustainability, Optima has commissioned the development of an iPad application. Once developed, this will enable the company’s sales force to use iPads in lieu of brochures and photo presenters, again reducing the company’s dependency on printed literature.
Optima’s National Sales and Marketing Manager, Christian Mabey stated “We are delighted with the nomination for Construction Marketing Award 2010, and feel it is a due recognition for the tremendous efforts of everyone associated with Optima Systems. The idea was generated as a way for Optima to further enhance our brand and improve relations with existing clients. We realised that we needed to offer our target audience an alternative form of engagement with the company and we felt this was the right way about giving us an added competitive edge”.
This has all helped to combine with Optima’s overall business objectives of maintaining their status as leading experts in office partitioning and also to enable them to expand their customer base. The nomination for the Construction Marketing Awards 2010 is a great tribute for such an effective, sustainable and efficient campaign.
