RebelPlay reveals a five year plan as it seeks to raise its second round of funding
Liverpool, 30th June 2011 – RebelPlay, an independent UK games publisher specialising in digitally distributed video games, has appointed IBIS Capital, the media and digital investment bank, to advise the Company on its current round of fundraising. Founded by two experienced former Sony executives, Phil Gaskell and Leo Cubbin were formerly instrumental in the development of blockbuster titles such as LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, Buzz, Lemmings and Harry Potter; and accountable for cumulative global sales of nearly 15 Million.
RebelPlay have created a unique business model built upon collaboration with partners to attract elite game developers throughout Europe creating a broad portfolio of games across all formats including social media. With 15 games already at various development stages to be released over the next 24 months, RebelPlay is well placed to be an attractive destination for developers looking to take advantage of the fast growing digital gaming market. Publishing across the major formats could expose RebelPlay games to an audience of over 150 million gamers globally and plans to work across social media platforms such as Facebook could offer another 500 million potential consumers. The collaborative publishing model will see RebelPlay involved at all stages of the development process from the initial concepts through to quality control, testing and submission to the format holders.
RebelPlay will be announcing their initial product line up later in the year but are keen to hear from any development teams with great ideas.
