With so much excitement being generated for Iphone applications, understanding the term and the technology has assumed importance.  What exactly is an Iphone application, and if so many people are making millions off them, can I do so too? That question wouldn’t be as ambitious as it sounds.

But I don’t know how to code!

Relax. If you’ve cracked the idea then you have won half the battle. Every one who has an application up on the Iphone isn’t a coder! There are many places where you can find people who actually specialize in developing applications based on an idea. You may need to do some research though to establish the veracity and trustworthiness of any company you may consider.

This is very important since the application idea is the real property you have. Casually discussing it or giving out all the details to unscrupulous elements can lead to disastrous results. So, protect your idea till you are sure about the vendor company and get some contractual paper work done too. The paper work will help keep a legal face to your interaction as well as keep crucial elements like pricing and design free of ambiguity.

Testing

This is very important when you are developing an Iphone application. Keep testing the product till you are 100% sure it works without errors or glitches. Keep yourself involved in the application development process from the start so that you know exactly what is going on and there are no last minute surprises.
