Although your Apple PowerBook G4 laptop supports DVI connections, you’ll need a special adapter in order to connect your laptop to an HDTV. DVI Adapter High-definition televisions come with HDMI ports, and will require an adapter that converts your DVI connection to HDMI.
This special adapter can be purchased at the Apple Store, or you can purchase it from Apple.com. These cables will only support video conversion. To play audio you’ll also need audio cables, which connect from your laptop’s headphone jack to the television.
