When I received my first iPhone, back in December of 2007, I was ecstatic. I had waited for that moment for years. Of course, I had jailbroken my iPhone back then because there wasn’t much you could do on it besides check your email, browse the internet using safari, check stocks and weather, and a handful of other things. Can you imagine that, no games on the iPhone? There was a time…
When I jailbroke my iPhone 2G, it unleashed the power of it to reach its full potential. At that point, I had no intention of becoming a computer programmer, I was just interested in technology.
It wasn’t until Apple released the App Store for the iPhone that I really became interested in computer programming. I saw the $ $ potential, and the idea of making an iPhone application that thousands of people can download and enjoy made my heart skip. I searched and searched the internet for courses to make iPhone apps.
My results were bad. All of the courses I tried were for people who already understand and know another programming language. My solution: start with concepts. That is right, I found a book on Amazon that outlined all concepts of programming, from beginner to advanced, and put them in laymen’s terms so anyone can understand them.
After finishing the book, I moved on to another BEGINNER programming book. The key is to find tutorials, courses, and books that are laid out for beginners. Otherwise, it will be very tough, and you will not fully understand the programming language. If you are interested in the book, you can find it here.
So remember, start small. Trees do not grow in a day. It takes years, many years to become a tree with branches and leaves that touch everywhere. Good luck!
