APPLE TABLET  launch is just minutes away now as it many news websites are set to broadcast the event live from 5:30 GMT. Here is a list of surprises, courtesy Technology critic Philip Elmer who says these are the things you are bound to see at the great event:

iLife 2010 The software applications developed by Apple for organizing, editing, and publishing photos, movies, and music will come in an all new avatar – most likely to be unveiled with the Apple tablet launch.

iPhone 4. The company is most likely to come up with the big surprise of unveiling the awaited Apple iPhone4G in few minutes from now. The “new plastic casing” will be touch-sensitive, much like Apple’s Magic Mouse, and according to reports it will also have a 5.0-megapixel camera.

What Apple Tablet could most likely have:

A thin, flat-paneled 10- to 11-inch color multitouch screen that  can serve as a virtual keyboard but can also be controlled with a vocabulary of gestures that has been described as “surprising.”

Will run a version of iPhone OS, giving it access to at least some of the 130,000 plus apps developed for the iPhone and iPod touch.

It’s said to be designed for sharing Internet gaming. Game developers — among them Electronic Arts (ERTS) — are said to be preparing whiz bang demos for Wednesday’s event.

A new platform for newspapers, books, magazines and textbooks –Struggling print publications are clinging to the hope that selling their content through Apple’s
iTunes store will be the business model that keeps them alive.

A new venue for movies and TV shows – According to sources, Apple has been working on a per month TV subscription service, but it’s not clear if Apple
Tablet will have the rights to broadcast all the possible Hollywood content.

It will be priced, according to various reports, anywhere from 0 to ,000, depending on whether it is subsidized by a cellular carrier.
